What is the project?

We’re delighted to fund Danielle O’Leary and The John Frost School to introduce Virtual Reality (VR) technology that will bring the curriculum to life for pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

How will learners benefit?

Using VR headsets, students will be able to explore museums, heritage sites, scientific environments, and cultural landmarks that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. These immersive experiences will help make complex ideas more engaging and accessible while building pupils’ cultural capital and curiosity about the wider world. Teachers will receive training to ensure VR is embedded meaningfully within lessons across subjects such as history, geography, science, and the arts.

Why was it funded?

By opening new windows onto the world, this innovative project will help raise aspirations, strengthen engagement, and support disadvantaged pupils to develop confidence and a deeper connection to their learning.
