Grants were awarded following round 2 of applications.

Trustees of the Achieve Equity Foundation approved funding in December 2024 for grant applications in the second round that totalled just over £12,000 and will benefit nine schools. The trustees were delighted with the range of applications and the different ways that the funding is aiming to be used to benefit disadvantaged learners.

Some of the successful grant projects included;

  • A Family Club and enhance learning support for disadvantaged pupils providing vital resources including literacy and numeracy boosters.
  • Breakfast club aimed at improving punctuality, wellbeing, and engagement for EFSM pupils.
  • ‘School Experiences’ programme, aimed at increasing participation and engagement for RADY pupils.
  • A Reading Shed, creating a dedicated outdoor space for disadvantaged pupils to develop a love of reading.
  • Lego intervention providing a hands-on, engaging programme that fosters confidence, teamwork, and emotional expression.
  • Family-focused maths intervention to support disadvantaged pupils and their parents.
  • Multi-purpose community hub supporting disadvantaged pupils and families.
  • Essential life skills courses for disadvantaged students and their families.
