Applications.

Here’s where you will find all the information about how to apply for a grant from the Achieve Equity Foundation.

Our application window is now closed. We will update on successful bids by 9th December 2024

What can you apply for? Our charitable purpose is to provide funding to schools for the implementation of innovative projects designed to raise the attainment of youngsters disadvantaged by poverty.  In our next round of applications we are hoping for your creative ideas for projects of around £1000 – £1500

More likely to be considered for funding:

  • Applications that demonstrate a strong link to the RADY principles and can show how the project has potential to lead to improved outcomes for disadvantaged learners.
  • Applications for RADY-focused projects that are innovative; perhaps ones that test a new approach and could be scaled up in future.

We will not be able to consider funding towards:

  • Funding for everyday student items (stationary, uniform) that are not linked to a specific RADY-focused project
  • Funding for general running costs of the school (staffing, resources) that are not linked to a specific RADY-focused project
  • Capital costs (repairs to buildings or facilities) that are not linked to a specific RADY-focused project.

Are you eligible?

The trustees of The AEF believe that any impact of disadvantage on a child’s prior attainment should have no part whatsoever in a school’s academic expectations of that child. A school should have the same academic expectations for the attainment of a disadvantaged pupil as their non-disadvantaged peer. This is the founding principle of RADY. A school which sets end-of-year, phase or Key Stage expectations/targets based essentially on prior attainment is at odds with the RADY principles.

Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate that they are implementing the RADY principles.

Provided your school upholds the RADY principles and the project aligns with these principles  you are encouraged to complete the Online Application Form.

Please note you cannot save the application form, we suggest you download and save the pdf of questions and guidance (link will open in a new tab), write and save your answers to each section ‘offline’ and then copy them onto the online form when you are ready.

Please read our grant-making policy where you will find more useful information about the process. You can also read our grant report document, this is required at the end of your project.
